Tuesday, December 23rd, 5:00pm  ***Fake email messages***

Spammers are back at it pretending to be "the team". If you receive a message like the one below:

Dear user of,

Your email account has been used to send a large amount of unsolicited e-mail messages during this week.
We suspect that your computer was infected by a recent virus and now runs a Trojan proxy server.

Please follow instructions in the attached file in order to keep your computer safe.

Virtually yours,
The team.

Delete it at once!  It is an spoofed message, not coming from us. Furthermore, it comes with an innocent-looking attachment that if you open it will infect your computer and God knows what else it will do  to it. So, at the risk of being repetitive, do not open or believe any message, like the one above, that pretends to come from us.  It is a fake. Legitimate messages from us will address you by your name (which spammers do not have), and/or will be signed with our own names (which the spammers also do not have). We never sent email messages by the " team" or any other generic, official-sounding title. Please don't fall for their traps.

Saturday, December 12th, 8:00pm

We survived the ice storm of 2008! Because of this unparalleled storm we lost our power on Friday morning at 9:30am and our whole town was without electricity until Saturday at around 7:00pm. There are some areas in the Northeast that still do not have power and it is not expected to return until the middle of next week. Besides dealing with lack of heat and freezing pipes we couldn't do anything other that sat the storm out and wait for the electrical crews across the country to get the electric grid back in shape.

We apologize for the interruption of service during this truly "Act of God" and we hope that everyone is now warm and ready for the holiday celebrations.

All our servers are up and running normally at the present time.

Tuesday, October  21st, 10:00am

We have just been informed by National Grid, our electricity supplier, that they will be replacing a transformer near our building necessitating a power outage of 30 to 45 minutes in our area . This outage will occur at 5:00pm today. We will activate our battery backup power, but we cannot be sure is service will not be totally disrupted. In any event we have requested the outage after 5:00pm, to minimize the effect on our customers.

We apologize for the short notice, but ourselves were given very little notice. We hope there will be no issues and the power outage becomes totally transparent.

All our servers are up and running normally at the present time.

Tuesday, October  21st, 5:30pm

Well, the electricity went out and came back in about 30 minutes. We were able to use our battery backups for essential servers (mail, web & ecommerce) and we did not see interruptions in those services.  The Outside electrical transformer was replaced and everything is now back to normal.

All our servers are up and running normally at the present time.
